Why Beeg?
So why the name "BeegRich" I hear you ask? Well it stems from days spent mountain biking with some great friends which spanned many years. For years cycling was my vice, from a small child and well into my adult years. Over the last few year I have not been out much as I would like due to starting my own business but I started road cycling again back in May 2007.
I live in Oxfordshire close to the foot of the Ridgeway and within easy access of Oxford and surrounding towns. We are ideally placed to hit the country side within a few minutes drive.
My cycling took me far and wide and involved both mountain biking and road biking, this is where the name "BeegRich" (pronounced Bee'g Rich) came from. Having more than one person called "Richard" on a cycling tour in France became confusing and after much joking aside I aptly got stuck with the nickname "BeegRich" due to my height - hence "Beeg". I regret that after many years this is now also slightly applicable to my waist line! I have to thank one of my cycling buddy "Percy" for the name but unfortunately I cannot disclose how he came by his name, I'm sure you can work it out!!
Now that I am back cycling again I am hoping the Bee'g part of my waistline becomes less so Bee'g in the coming months!
